For example, , and are all considered the same.ġ. Equivalent domains: In LP these are domains that a single saved item with credentials will work across all of them (so no need to store multiple times). For example all of my work related URLs are in here since I do not store work related login information.Ĥ. Never URLs: In LP these are URLs that I can add so LP completely ignores them and does not try to store/capture credentials for them. Login restrictions: In LP I have the country restriction to only allow login in the United States, and I have disabled logins from the Tor network.ģ. Support for custom categories: For example I have a SFTP item (category) in LP with custom/specific fields I use for SFTP credentials (port, authentication type, memo to store keys).Ģ. I do like the clean UI interface compared to LastPass (LP), but there are some features that I use with LP and can't find their equivalent in 1Password (if they exist).ĭo any of you know if the below are possible using 1Password?ġ. I'm happy with the LastPass family plan, but thought I'd sign-up for a 14 day trial with 1Password. What made you choose Bitwarden over 1Password? I've been thinking about signing up with 1Password. It started as a test because I thought I'd have to fully switch over, but they are co-existing nicely. At work I still use LastPass, but I've also installed BitWarden because it works fine on a few frequently used sites that LassPass doesn't handle well (it never fills the login, then asks to save a new login - for the same site, every time). On some sites / in some ways I think it is slightly less convenient than LastPass however, on other sites it works better than LastPass. It works a little differently than LastPass so it wasn't entirely intuitive to me, but after a short while I got the hang of it. YMMV, but I am happy with BitWarden and the free version does everything I need - you can even share passwords with one person for free. When LastPass restricted the free version, I did my homework and went with BitWarden at home. I've used LastPass for many years - both as an individual user and as an IT professional managing a paid account for a 100+ end users.
